Munnar Places / Experiences in detail

• Pothamedu View point - (5 min-2.4 km from Munnar Centre)

This serene location guarantees an alluring sight which brings us closer to nature. Surrounded by exquisite beauty in the form of lush greenery and the plantation of coffee, tea and cardamom. The place is located at a good height and one can feel this once they reach at the top and watch the cars and other vehicles approaching up through the winding road.

• Attukad Waterfalls : Located between Munnar and Pallivasal in the Idukki District, Attukad Waterfall is a feast for the eyes in true sense. This captivating attraction is surrounded by dark jungle and lush green terrains, reachable only through a wooden bridge. Also you can feel the waves of breeze near the falls. 

• Echo Point (Kids love shouting and getting echo), (15km from munnar)

• Tea Factory visit, Tata Tea Museum, (2 km from center Munnar)

• Viripara waterfalls

• Mattupetty dam: The 160 foot height mattupetty dam has a vast reservoir extending several kilometers into the hills. This concrete dam has been an important source of power for nearby areas. Elephants can also be spotted near the reservoir.

• Top Station Valley view, (32 km away from munnar)

Top station is the highest point (1700m) in munnar. Here you can enjoy the panoramic view of Western Ghats and the valley of Theni district of Tamil Nadu. Top Station got its name from the fact that it was the uppermost railway station located in the Kundala Valley. At this highest point, you may feel that the clouds are just a hand touch away from you. 

• Lakkam WaterFalls:  (49 min (26.7km)

The crystal clear water originating from the core zone of Eravikulam National Park flows to river Pambar, one of the east flowing rivers in Kerala, which ultimately joins river Cauvery in Tamil Nadu. Lakkam waterfalls is a natural fall which cascades down the hill side, lending an enchanting view. This is on the road side from Munnar to Marayoor. There is eco shop cafeteria and refreshing centre to provide services to visitors.
