Golden Triangle — Delhi, Agra & Jaipur

5 Nights / 6 Days · Private Tour · India's Most Iconic Journey

Overview

The Golden Triangle is India's most celebrated travel circuit — and for good reason. In six days, you move through three of the country's most extraordinary cities: Delhi, the layered capital where Mughal grandeur and modern India collide; Agra, home to the Taj Mahal, one of the world's most breathtaking monuments; and Jaipur, the Pink City of Rajasthan, where medieval forts rise above bazaars filled with colour and craft.

This is the journey most international visitors begin their India experience with — and the one they remember longest. We handle every detail, from airport arrival to final transfer, so you can focus entirely on the experience.

Highlights

  • Sunrise at the Taj Mahal — the world's greatest monument to love, at its most luminous
  • Amber Fort, Jaipur — a 16th century Rajput palace perched above a lake-filled valley
  • Old Delhi — Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, and the living streets of Mughal India
  • Humayun's Tomb — the architectural forerunner of the Taj Mahal, largely crowd-free
  • Fatehpur Sikri — a complete Mughal city abandoned 400 years ago, perfectly preserved
  • Qutub Minar, Jantar Mantar, City Palace — Delhi and Jaipur's finest monuments

Itinerary

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrive Delhi You are met and greeted on arrival at Delhi airport or railway station and transferred to your hotel. The afternoon is free to rest and orient yourself — or explore your hotel neighbourhood at your own pace. Delhi rewards early evening walks — the food, the noise, and the energy of the city are best absorbed slowly.

Day 2 — Delhi Sightseeing A full day exploring Delhi's extraordinary range. Old Delhi in the morning — Jama Masjid, one of India's largest mosques, and the sensory labyrinth of Chandni Chowk bazaar. New Delhi in the afternoon — Humayun's Tomb (a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Taj Mahal's architectural predecessor), the Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, and the grand ceremonial axis of Rajpath with India Gate, Parliament House, and Rashtrapati Bhawan. Overnight Delhi.

Day 3 — Delhi to Agra via Sikandra (216 km, approx. 3.5 hours) After breakfast, drive to Agra. En route visit Sikandra — the mausoleum of Emperor Akbar, a magnificent garden tomb that foreshadows the Taj Mahal's scale and symmetry. On arrival in Agra, check into your hotel. Afternoon visit the Taj Mahal — we recommend arriving an hour before sunset when the white marble shifts through shades of gold and amber. Also visit the marble inlay craftsmen near the Taj — a living tradition that built the monument itself. Overnight Agra.

Day 4 — Agra to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri (245 km, approx. 4 hours) Morning visit to Agra Fort — the massive red sandstone fortification that was the seat of Mughal power for over a century, with views across the Yamuna to the Taj Mahal. Then drive to Jaipur, stopping en route at Fatehpur Sikri — Emperor Akbar's ghost capital, a complete 16th century city of red sandstone that was abandoned after only 14 years. The Buland Darwaza — the largest gateway in the world — is genuinely awe-inspiring. Arrive Jaipur, check in. Overnight Jaipur.

Day 5 — Jaipur Sightseeing A full day in the Pink City. Morning visit to Amber Fort — a 16th century Rajput palace complex rising above Maota Lake, reached by a cobbled ramp lined with elephants. Inside, the Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors) is one of the most extraordinary interiors in India. Continue to the City Palace (still partly inhabited by the Jaipur royal family), Jantar Mantar (the world's largest stone observatory, a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and a photo stop at the iconic Hawa Mahal — the Palace of Winds. Evening free for Jaipur's bazaars — textiles, gemstones, blue pottery, and block-printed fabrics. Overnight Jaipur.

Day 6 — Jaipur Departure After breakfast, transfer to Jaipur airport or railway station for your onward journey
