Day 1

🗓️ Day 1 – Sacred Hampi (Heritage + Spiritual Trail)

Focus: Temples, ancient monuments, and spiritual energy

🌄 Morning (Start by 8:00 AM)

  • Virupaksha Temple – The heart of Hampi, functioning since the 7th century

  • Hampi Bazaar Street – Ancient market street near Virupaksha, lined with stone pavilions

  • Monolithic Nandi – Large granite Nandi facing Virupaksha

  • Hemakuta Hill Temples – Small shrines with panoramic views over Hampi

  • Sasivekalu Ganesha & Kadalekalu Ganesha – Massive monolithic statues of Lord Ganesha

🍽️ Lunch Break – Try local meals at Mango Tree or Gopi Guest House café

🌞 Afternoon

  • Krishna Temple & Bazaar – 16th-century complex with elegant ruins

  • Lakshmi Narasimha Statue – Largest statue in Hampi, partly damaged but majestic

  • Badavilinga – Monolithic Shiva linga with water flowing at the base

  • Underground Shiva Temple – Mystical ambience with water-filled sanctum

  • Queen’s Bath – Indo-Islamic architecture with sunken pool

  • Lotus Mahal – Graceful monument in Zenana Enclosure with Indo-Islamic design

🌅 Sunset Point

  • Matanga Hill Sunset Trek (moderate hike, ~30 min) – Best panoramic view of Hampi

🗓️ Day 2 – Royal Hampi (Vijayanagara Imperial Legacy)

Focus: Royal enclosures, engineering marvels, architecture

🌄 Morning (Start by 8:00 AM)

  • Royal Enclosure Complex – Includes the following key structures:

    • Mahanavami Dibba – Ceremonial platform with carvings

    • Stepped Tank – Geometric marvel, water management system

    • Hazara Rama Temple – Intricate bas-reliefs of Ramayana

    • King’s Audience Hall – Massive ruined hall with pillars

  • Watch Tower & Secret Chamber – Inside the royal zone

  • Pushkarani Tank – Clean, restored sacred tank

🍽️ Lunch Break – Back to the Hampi market area or at hotel

🌞 Afternoon

  • Vittala Temple Complex – Crown jewel of Hampi

    • Stone Chariot – Iconic symbol of Karnataka

    • Musical Pillars – Columns that produce musical notes when tapped

    • Pushkarani – Sacred tank near the temple

🚶🏼‍♂️ Optional Short Walks

  • Riverside ruins trail behind Vittala (if energy permits)

  • Visit Achyutaraya Temple via Courtesan’s Street if time permits

🌅 Sunset Point (Alternative)

  • Hemakuta Hill (if missed Day 1) or Anjanadri Hill (Hanuman's birthplace, 570 steps – ~30 mins from Hampi, optional if limited to Hampi proper)

Note:

  • Coracle ride on the Thungapatra river is an experience. It can be done sibject to time availability.

  • Anegundi village can be covered if an extra day is available. Attractions are cultural interactions, banana fiber crafts, or Hanuman Temple on Anjanadri Hill.

  • Sequence given is indicative. Itinerary is subject to change.
